“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

John 13 : 34 - 35

What an immense honor we have to partake in the reflection of God’s love for us through the bond of marriage. Both Wilson & Brittany reflected this Christ-like love towards one another continually as I photographed them throughout their wedding day.The birds were singing and the flowers were in full bloom in Blackberry Cove, NC, while friends and family were finding their seats. As the bridesmaids walked down the aisle to silently declare the bride’s pending entrance, I fawned over the dried flower arrangements in their hands. A mixture of soft neutrals and deep burgundy that I found distracting, but in a good way (you see, our bride has excellent taste). Her boho style paired well with the worn walls of the horse barn that filled part of the landscape. She discovered the key to creating a boho theme within a seemingly country landscape.

I believe that the gathering of friends and family oftentimes reflects the personality of the couple they have come to support and celebrate. With that being said, what a sweet turnout! Everyone was evidently supportive and thankful for Wilson & Brittany. They were not there for a good time, or even the delicious bundt cakes. These two were truly rallied behind in every corner by their large families. Their love filled the air alongside the love of the bride and groom made me emotional and thankful. Marriage is not easy, the fairytale does not come to a sweet close as the “I do’s” are exchanged. The journey is only just beginning & with a support system such as this one to back them up, I have no doubt in my mind that Mr. & Mrs. Brown will be well loved throughout their marriage.

With Love,
